Two Rooms Grill. One of the top rated dinner locations in Tokyo. Fondly settled within the inner depths of Omotesando where you can find all your high end brands at! As you can see they have an astounding option of sitting locations such as their terrace to overview Tokyo, however I was with my grandparents so the cold outside was not an option 😛
(link to restaurant below)

We ordered the “Aki” (or Autumn) set menu:

We ordered this set mostly because of the beef fillet as the main course. Although I did want to try the other set menu, as it offered lamb chops for main course… (I’ll get it next time).

It was no doubt a filling course, but I got to say…my only complaint was perhaps the first appetizer. It was so spacious that I wasn’t sure… if I was looking at it correctly. Ended up very aromatic and delicious, but portion size caught me quite by surprise.

Drinks:

For drinks we ordered a wine for the general course, a Chateau Pavillon Figeac 2008 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Loved it, smelled great with a nice dark berry taste from the start. Sadly as time passed the aroma slowly died off and didn’t last more than approximately 3 hours.

Of course I had a fresh passion mojito afterwards to spice things back up again for final dessert 😀

Still had a great time with my grandparents! Would definitely come again a second time. It’s better to book before hand by their website. Their restaurant is often booked down for parties and what not.

Joel Robuchon – Ebisu, Tokyo.

Joel Robuchon
The 3 Michelin Star restaurant located in Ebisu, Tokyo, Japan.
This was my second time here, with a Significant other. But menu has changed slightly for dinner since my last time.

Ide say my judgement for the food here is obviously unfair. As I am a big fan of French restaurants, and this IS 3 Michelin stars.

The food was absolutely amazing. The only thing I was not quite satisfied with was the big table at the center of the restaurant who would not talk quietly. It was loud, rude, and absolutely ridiculously mannered for a French restaurant.
I have some other points as well, but we will leave it there because the guest’s conversation sound was so loud that just overthrew every other small issues.

Taco Bell Tokyo!

TacoBell Japan, oh Yesss the lonnggg rumored, talked about, and hyped American fastfood has landed its feet into the city of Tokyo.

After my first try of the crispy wrap and fries, I now understand COMPLETELY why its fit for beer, after beer, and a complete KILLER to ANY diet you’ve been doing. The meat, the melted cheese, the grease, all piles together into a sinful hot galore of fastfood is what will fatten the skinny population of Japan…
I ordered what was supposedly the hottest sauce for my crispy wrap, it was spicy, but still more in Japaneae standards.

I went (stupidly) on a Sunday. Hence had to stand in a queue for around 15 to 30 mins (still not too bad). I bought the food to go, as there was absolutely no seats available. Staff, definitely all spoke perfect English. And pricing… is still reasonable, but slightly overpriced for fast foods in Japanese standards.

At least all my dear American friends don’t have to head to the American base to get a Taco Bell anymore. And I guarantee next time I’m in Shibuya doin a nomihodai, ill end up at Taco Bell with my friends XD.

Who else went for a try? What did you guys think??

Heard of Meiji before? Reminds you of Chocolate?
Thats exactly righttt and you’ll be in for a lucky treat if you are around 東京駅/Tokyo Station.
This one & only Meiji Chocolate cafe isn’t stored at any well seen location. But definitely worth your visit to.

Interior was nicely decorated. As you can see here.

image

You can indulge yourself into chocolates from around the world.
Seats are all high table seatings, so definitely not for long stay.
BUT every bit of food and drink my friend and I ordered?.. Perfect-ness.
Especially that waffle dessert. Dripping your waffle into the rich taste of Meiji chocolate, mix it with some cream/milk and freshly cut fruit.
How is THiS,  NOT WORTH IT??

BAKE Cheese Tart (Famous Hokkaido store in Tokyo! )

So!  The Cheese Tart located at 自由が丘.  I went at the first week it opened. A very well known Hokkaido Cheese Tart store!

Wasnt really cheap, but worth every yen. Line stated I needed to line up for an hour, and I did.
Website and pamphlet suggests 3 types of ways to eat.
1. Original taste.
2. Re-baked
3. Put into freezer
I felt the original and rebaked as best. Strengthened the thick cheese taste.
The frozen version was not that thick in cheese taste but brought out the sweetness (good for hotter weather for sure! )
I got six for 1200 yen. Worth every bit of it. Packaging was very cute, as you see they even had Cheese Tart stickers!
Give it a try if you are in the area at Tokyo~
They own the whole building with 2 floors of seating area above.
(THEY ALSO HAVE STORE AT SHINJUKU! )

Ranked #1 Ramen back in 2012!! This place is situated near the hospital I go to, hence rather convenient.

Soy Sauce Based, very clear soup that was so amazingly good I finished every single drop, the meat was also not overcooked with great flavoring.

I would say though, the best out of it all was still the soup. I wrote this post much later than when I had the ramen. So Sorry for the lack of comments!

NIRE’S DELI

ImageImageImageImage

I was highly impressed by this burger, because it was literally packed with legit amount of food and quality in the “Deluxe Burger”. What attracted me the most, in my opinion, was the big ass piece of BACON in there. Could be much crispier, but still legit bacon.

Coffee was great and very cute afterwards. A set was less than 2000 yen. Not very cheap but not that expensive either, definitely worth a go, if you have the time.

一燈

Image

ImageImage

ImageImageImageImage

RANKED NO.1 Ramen in Tokyo, 一燈. Located at 新小岩 (8 min walk from the station). This is by far, the most amazing ramen I have had in Japan. I would say the most beautiful aspect is the meat, the meat, almost like smoked ham, is amazing beyond words. Every slice which combines: chicken, beef, and pork. It’s even have meatballs in the soup. But the soup is not very thick but has a nice thick fish base to it. Not extremely salty either, can easily be purely drunk without adding soup.

Noodles are 太麵, the thick chewy kind, its not bad, but the soup’s flavor takes me completely out of remembering if there was anything special about the noodles. The Egg, was of course good as well, but not particularly outstanding, as I cannot remember anything out of it either… LOL

If you are in Tokyo.. PLEASE … GO TO THIS PLACE… You will NEVER EVER EVER view ramen the same way ANYWHERE else EVER again… LOL =P

ラーメン

This is the ramen store near my university. Everyday starting at 9am, people line up for this ramen (mostly guys). Reason? Because its packed full with Noodles and meat and everything. As you can see from the picture, the portion is DEFINITELY NOT “Japanese” portion sized ramen. Only thing I would complain about this place is how ridiculously oily the ramen is.. Or else, their soup base can be seen the counter, but it’s thick meat brewed soup base is quite glorious (and oily, lol). When you go in they will ask what you want to add, so far the only recommendations I’ve had is にんにく (garlic) & 野菜 (Vegis). Some people only add one, its all up to you. Average line up and weight time is around 10 mins or so. But drop by once to try out this place for sure!!

味玉つけ麺

Back at 自由が丘, I dropped by another ramen/Tsukemen place. This time, what surprised me the most was their soup, when it came it was still bubbling like crazy. Realized later that they had dropped in a scorching hot stone into the soup to keep it hot. There was not a lot of meat, but meat was still very good. Simple toppings in the soup of ねぎ and メンマ. The egg was not amazingly good, as I noticed it was just basically salted. The combo of the noodles with the soup was very good. But I did not drink all of the soup, since after I started gulping down the soup, the taste got really greasy and was hard to continue. Would say the combo of the noodles with the soup was good, along with the meat within the soup. Noodles were generally okay, nothing too special.
